Based in Houston, Texas, Juan Minero has over two decades of experience overseeing complex compliance and regulatory matters in diverse industries. With 13 years dedicated to the Retail Energy space, Juan has developed expertise in statutory utility license life cycles, resolving public utility complaints, as well as development and enforcement of compliance programs. Juan is well-versed in reviewing marketing collateral, conducting third-party vendor due diligence, and maintaining customer-facing disclosure documents and contracts. His core competencies include consumer protection matters including data privacy, federal & state do-not-call laws, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, FDCPA, and FTC/FCC.

Juan’s Retail Energy experience includes Texas-specific knowledge regarding Retail Electric Provider website requirements, general disclosures and customer contract documents, contract expiration and renewal offers, advertising claims, non-English language requirements, channel-specific customer enrollment rules, requests for information, and prepaid service.
